Vignaioli Indipendenti
The Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti (FIVI) represents independent Italian winegrowers who manage the entire production chain — from vineyard to bottle. Founded in 2008, the federation protects the figure of the “Vignaiolo Indipendente,” a producer who cultivates their own vines, vinifies their own grapes, bottles under their own label, and does not purchase grapes or bulk wine for commercial use.
FIVI members are typically small to medium-sized estates deeply connected to their territory and local tradition. Their focus is on healthy grapes, sustainable practices, and minimal intervention in the cellar, resulting in wines that are authentic, expressive, and strongly rooted in place.
Wines produced by Vignaioli Indipendenti embody craftsmanship, personal responsibility, and a direct relationship between producer and consumer — a genuine expression of Italy’s diverse wine heritage.
