Cantine Olivella

Cantine Olivella is a boutique, family-run winery founded in 2004 in Sant’Anastasia, within the boundaries of Vesuvius National Park. Located on the slopes of Mount Somma, the estate works with a unique volcanic terroir that gives its wines striking minerality, freshness, and a strong sense of place.
Cantine Olivella is deeply committed to preserving local wine heritage and is widely recognized for reviving indigenous grape varieties. Most notably, Catalanesca — a historic white grape — finds one of its purest and most expressive interpretations here. Alongside it, Piedirosso and Caprettone thrive in the volcanic soils, shaped by altitude and the influence of the nearby volcano.
Production at Cantine Olivella is limited and artisanal, with all key vineyard and cellar work carried out by hand. The wines are authentic, vibrant, and terroir-driven, crafted with respect for nature and tradition while maintaining a clean, modern style. These are wines that truly capture the soul and energy of the Vesuvian landscape.
