Curiosity

In 1984, this wine received the DOC classification, thanks to its popularity among wine lovers. Over the years you have become Brunello’s “alter ego” with your identity and perfect price-quality ratio.

Combining foods

Traditionally combined with meat dishes, but also with pecorino cheese and various dishes with fresh local olive oil.

Harvest 2021

In August, the total amount of precipitation was 26 mm, although in some areas it reached 150 mm of water. This shows how different the microclimates are in Montalcino. Regarding temperature changes, they have values of 39° C, concentrated between August 11 and 16, and on these days the increase in minimum temperatures also changes the vegetative processes in some affected areas. September saw the lowest rainfall of the year at 1.5 mm, with four days of maximum temperatures >30°C, but with significant temperature variation. Despite the lack of rain, it did not affect the vines. Rainfall in October was 12.8mm, with minimum temperatures of <7°C between the 9th and 14th of the month, which was very beneficial to the recovery of the grapes (in northern parts) with temperature fluctuations of up to 15 degrees.
