Founded in 1979 by Reiner, the LOACKER winery in Bolzano, South Tyrol, is a symbol of innovation and sustainability in winemaking. Despite professional scepticism, Reiner’s pioneering spirit led him to establish the area’s first organic vineyard, ushering in four decades of dedication to organic practices. Since 1998 Rainer’s son Hayo presides over the fortunes of the estate, featuring brothers Franz Josef and Hannes, each of whom shares their father’s rebellious heart and dedication. In keeping with their heritage, the Loacker family integrated homeopathy into the management of their vineyards, believing in its ability to maintain a sustainable estate ecosystem. Technical wines reflect this ethos, embodying the essence of nature and biodynamic principles while avoiding unnecessary additives. With a blend of tradition, innovation and a touch of rebellion, LOACKER wines promise a unique and enjoyable experience for enthusiasts looking for quality and sustainability in every sip.
Plenty of sunlight, red loamy soil, and fruity wines.
Vineyards and olive trees as far as the eye can see. A light ocean breeze and just a hint of fresh rosemary waft in the air. Welcome to LOACKER’s Tenuta Valdifalco in the Maremma. Ah, la dolce vita – Tuscany and vineyards. Does it get any better?
A touch of Tuscany.
The cellars in Valdifalco are home predominantly to the local Morellino di Scansano. The range is rounded off by four selection wines: a fruity Vermentino, a Morellino ‘Vigna Poggio Marcone’, a ‘Lodolaia’ Syrah reminiscent of the Rhône, and a ‘Granfalco’ Merlot and Mourvèdre cuvée.
